Hey readers, today I interviewed a Chemistry teacher Mrs.
Brown. I asked her questions about her career and education needed for her job.
I learned a lot from her. She told me that for high school teachers they have
to major in a specific thing and minor in education, while middle and
elementary school teachers have to major in education. She also informed me
that her job is very stressful and is in need of people. I was very glad to
have the opportunity to interview Mrs. Brown today and look forward to keep in
contact with her. Thank you for taking time to read this post.

The Job Hunt
It is now my turn to find a placement :(. So far i have applied to target… and that’s about it, however I do plan to apply to many other places such as American Eagle, Publix, Wal-Mart, Hibbet Sports, and Dicks Sporting Goods. One of the problems I face is that some stores have very long assessments, like 7 pages long. Another Problem I face is the lack of transportation. I will not be driving until December so that means I will have to get a ride from someone. Because of this I am forced to choose something just to hold me over until then. So far I have applied to target, Best Buy, and American Eagle.

Last Week Recap
Last week in Work Based Learning, we learned how to finalize our internships, we then followed that up by completing our work base learning packets. On Tuesday I was 1 of 8 students selected to attend the Verizon Innovative Learning app challenge. At his challenge we learned how we could positively affect our community with an app. On Wednesday, we continues to work on finding placements in the real world. On Thursday, some students had been starting on their jobs//internships. When Friday rolled around those people who had been out and about returned to pass their knowledge of what they learned on to us. Friday was also our homecoming so we talked a lot and had fun.
I am...
Hello, my name is Chris Ramos. I am a senior at Northwest High School, and I am currently in the Health Science Academy. I am originally from Fort Hood, which is located in Killeen, TX. Since my family is military we were stationed at Fort Campbell after I was born which is what lead me to Clarksville, TN, and we have been here for the past 13 years. Some of my favorite things to are playing football with my friends and watching the Tennessee Titans play on Sunday. I also like to go swimming and visit Amusement Parks with my friends. In my junior year we were given three choices for our Senior Experience. We could either go to the: 1. Nursing Ed. 2. EMT 3. Work Based Learning(WBL). I chose to take the Work Base Learning route, mostly because I’m split between choosing a career in the medical field or joining the Army, and I believe that WBL can help me get the basics down and help prepare me for the real world. While I am taking WBL I hope that I can learn how to successfully complete an interview and how to be more professional. I also hope that this class will teach me the ways of the force and show me how to properly defend myself against the dark side. Thank You once again for viewing my blog page and reading my introduction. If you haven’t yet make sure to subscribe for weekly updates.
